    As of Jan. 1, 2026, you may begin seeing HealthSpring members in your practice. Our members include former Cigna Medicare customers with new HealthSpring benefit plans along with brand-new HealthSpring members. If you are contracted with Cigna Medicare, you are contracted with HealthSpring to serve these members.

    As we fully transition from Cigna Medicare to the HealthSpring brand, here is information to help you do business with us.

    Access your self-service portal

    Our payer space in Availity® Essentials is named HealthSpring Medicare Advantage. Our payer ID is 52192. It supports interactions with former Cigna Medicare customers along with new HealthSpring members. The HealthSpring payer space is only for Medicare Advantage-contracted providers. Through this secure portal, you can verify eligibility and benefits, submit claims and more.

    Find provider resources online

    On the HealthSpring provider site, you can access the HealthSpring provider manual, forms, information about policies and processes and the latest news. Complete our Let's Stay Connected form to subscribe to a monthly email newsletter we’ll launch in 2026.

    Identify our members

    They have new member ID cards with their HealthSpring plan. See HealthSpring ID card samples on our eligibility and benefits page. If you have questions, call the number on the member ID card.

    Request prior authorization

    Visit our clinical review page for information on prior authorization requirements and submitting requests. Prior authorization requests approved by Cigna Medicare before Jan. 1, 2026, remain in effect until their expiration date.

    Take note that as of Jan. 1, 2026, HealthSpring is managing prior authorization requests for post-acute care and home health services. Learn more about this change.

    Submit claims

    Electronic claims can be submitted to us electronically through Availity Essentials using payer ID 52192 or through your preferred vendor. The address for submitting paper claims is PO Box 23456, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Learn more on our provider website.

    Support member health care experience surveys and quality measures

    We’re committed to helping our members achieve their health goals through access to quality care. You’re at the heart of this experience. Talk to your members about their experiences and remind them about the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) survey they may receive in early 2026. For HealthSpring members who had a Cigna Medicare plan in 2025, the survey will list the HealthSpring plan name on the back along with the Cigna Medicare plan they had in 2025. While members’ plan name is new, their experience should be seamless.
