Lump Sum Cancer Insurance Product Details

The cost of cancer is hard to predict. A Lump Sum Cancer policy provides a cash benefit2 to help cover medical expenses if you are diagnosed with cancer, helping to ease financial issues while you focus on getting well and getting back to living the life you were meant to. How can a Lump Sum Cancer Insurance Policy help you?

Customize your Lump Sum Cancer Insurance policy

We can also help you customize your Lump Sum Cancer Insurance coverage to fit your needs. Riders offer coverage for specific situations and can be added for an additional monthly amount.3 Consider adding one or more of the following riders for even more coverage (these summaries contain highlights only and are subject to change):

Lump Sum Heart Attack and Stroke Rider

This rider can be added to the Lump Sum Cancer policy to gradually increase your benefit amount over time. Each year, on the rider anniversary date, we will increase the policy benefit amount by $500 or $1,000** while the rider remains in force. This annual benefit amount will continue to build each year until the 35th rider anniversary date.

**Based on the amount you selected at the time of application

    Cancer Recurrence Benefit Rider

If you are concerned with a recurring diagnosis of cancer, our Cancer Recurrence Benefit Rider may pay you additional benefits should you receive subsequent diagnoses of cancer. You will receive a percentage of your benefit amount (not to exceed an additional 100% of the selected benefit amount) upon additional diagnoses of cancer provided you have not received advice or treatment for at least two years from the date of your last diagnosis.

    Radiation and Chemotherapy

This rider is a cost-effective way to enhance your cancer coverage. The Radiation and Chemotherapy Benefit Rider pays certain benefits when an insured person incurs a charge and receives covered treatments for cancer or carcinoma in situ. It must be purchased with the Cancer Recurrence Rider. Benefits are not payable for skin cancer.

    Kate's story

Kate always took good care of herself, so she was caught off guard when a recent mammogram identified an early diagnosis of breast cancer. Thankfully, the mammogram caught the cancer early, but Kate learned that surgery and chemotherapy treatments would have her out of work for longer than she expected.

Kate had purchased Lump Sum Cancer Insurance for less than $1 per day1, along with her primary health insurance. The cash benefit helped her pay expenses she would otherwise not have been able to pay, allowing her to focus on fighting her cancer instead of worrying about bills.
